Yes,
We are a hotel. But really, we are a place to celebrate life, to expand the horizon of thought, and to appreciate the richness of the moment.
I remember it very clearly: When my father Karl Ludwig and I drove through the dense forest for the first time in May 1985 and felt the calm surrounding us, we were speechless. From the edge of the forest, the view opened up to the clearing with the manor house and the farmhouse in the morning mist: a sight to behold!

Even today, I feel exactly that every time I drive in. Like two beauties resting in the meadow, the two buildings stand there. A place of peace and relaxation.

Art plays a crucial role throughout the entire house, not in a museum-like way, but as an integral part of life. Art is present both in the landscape and in every room - from the meeting rooms to the guest bedrooms.
“Always the separation of art and life!” A view that the host of Gut Sonnenhausen, Georg Schweisfurth, certainly does not share. Here, everyone can go anywhere and view art, both indoors and outdoors.
